​Hispanic Young Adult Professional Speaker Series June 20
The Hispanic Young Adult Professional Speaker Series (HYAPSS) initiative aims to inspire those gathered together as well as provide a space to network with other career-oriented individuals. Come and join us as Ric Estrada, CEO of Metropolitan Family Services, corporate board member, civic and philanthropic leader, shares his insights on how he successfully balances his career in service with his personal life. The HYAPSS presents “Creating a Work/Life Balance” on Tuesday, June 20 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Tufano’s Vernon Park Tap, 1073 W. Vernon Park Place in Chicago. Food and drinks will be served. Tenth Anniversary of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe – Mass and Gala June 10
This year the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrates the tenth anniversary of its founding as a Shrine of the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Universal Catholic Church. All are welcome to attend Mass on June 10 at 1:00 pm, where we will kick off the celebration. The Mass will be celebrated outdoors on the grounds of the Shrine, in the plaza. All priests are invited to concelebrate (please bring your alb and white stole). Join the special Gala, as well, which begins at 6 p.m. at Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. This event will be a pivotal moment for the Shrine’s ministry as we prepare to join with the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City and the Universal Church, the Jubilee in honor of the 500th Anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
